Recruitment + Testing + Selection

Boly:Welch has worked hard to establish a reputation for excellence in the placement of Office, Accounting / Finance, Legal support staff, Human Resources, Marketing and IT for Direct-Hire and Temporary positions.  We are extremely proactive in our recruiting efforts, leveraging all possible recruitment sources in support of your needs.  Additionally, as a result of a robust Candidate Referral Program, and our newly created Job of the Week, satisfied clients and candidates refer the lion’s share of our candidate base to us.

Skill-testing is a key staple of our application process for all prospective candidates.  Testing options vary across a wide range of applications, but standard computer tests include:

  • Word

  • Assistant Bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, Payroll
  • Full-Charge Bookkeeping and General Accounting

In addition, Boly:Welch will administer client-specific or specialized testing to candidates at our facility.

Temporary Staffing → Talent When You Need It

Temporary staffing is a critical component in meeting your needs and we apply the same best practices to filling interim positions as to our Direct-Hires.  On these assignments, Boly:Welch becomes the employer of record with all associated responsibilities and liabilities.  We are committed to providing you with the best possible candidate at the most competitive temporary bill rates which include candidate salary, all insurance and recruiting expenses, as well as overhead costs.  We pay our Temporary employees weekly and bill you accordingly.

As with our Direct-Hire services, we will administer client-specific testing to help identify the best match for your short-term needs.  

 

Direct-Hire Recruiting

When you call asking for help, our goal goes beyond just a placement.  We work to develop trust and nurture a long-term partnership with you.  The candidate screening and selection process begins immediately after your initial inquiry.  At Boly:Welch, our consultants look for the demonstrated and documented ability to perform effectively.  Candidates under consideration for representation must pass a rigorous screening process including skill tests and thorough reference checks.  Background and credit checks along with drug testing are available upon client request.

Ultimately, the most important element in this process is the personal interview in which we form an impression of the prospective candidate.  What does this person expect out of a job?  Care about?  Want out of life?  What do they see as the best fit for their next move?  These questions are critical to making a match because hiring an employee is a little like getting married: unless everyone is happy, no one is going to be happy.  Our job is to find the ‘best fit’ for both client and candidates and a long-term match.

Referral of resumes or candidates from Boly:Welch is confidential and made at your request.  Neither candidates nor resumes may be referred by you to any other organization. 

 

The following fee schedule is contingent upon the hiring of a candidate referred by Boly:Welch and is in effect for one year from the time of our referral.  Direct-Hire fees are based upon a percentage of the candidate's full time annual salary.

 

Annual Compensation                                    Fee

Salaries to $29,999…………………..........20%

$30,000 to $39,999…………………..........25%

$40,000 and Above………………………....30%

 

In the event that your Direct-Hire placement began as a Boly:Welch temporary, a daily credit may be applied to your fee.  Fees are always paid by the employer and due upon receipt of invoice.  If you have special considerations or A/P practices, feel free to discuss them with us.  Alternate payment schedules can easily be negotiated.

At Boly:Welch, we’re not just proud of the matches we make, we guarantee them.  Should a situation fall shy of your expectations, Boly:Welch will extend our comprehensive 12 month prorated replacement guarantee that offers 100% protection for the first 90 days.   

 

Placement Options

We offer the following hiring options:

Direct-Hire:

The client pays a placement fee based upon a percentage of the candidate's full-time annual salary.  The advantage - you have access to the largest possible candidate pool and are covered by our comprehensive 12 month prorated replacement guarantee that offers 100% protection for the first 90 days.  All guarantees and credits are based on standard fee schedules and payment terms.

Temp-to-Hire:

This alternative allows clients to ‘temp’ a candidate on the Boly:Welch payroll for 520 hours.  With this hiring option, clients have access to our Temporary Applicant Pool only.  Once a client has indicated the intent to move forward with at Temp-to-Hire, we will begin to track the applicable hours.  Markups and bill rates are subject to adjustment at this time.  At the completion of 520 hours, the candidate will transfer to the client payroll at no further cost.  No guarantee accompanies the Temp-to-Hire option.

Buy-Out:

This choice allows client to ‘buy out’ a contracted Temp-to-Hire and may be exercised at any point within the 520 hour period.  Payment for this option includes the gross margin which Boly:Welch would have incurred had the candidate continued on our payroll for the full Temp-to-Hire period.  The candidate becomes immediately available for transfer to the client’s payroll.  No guarantee period accompanies the Buy-Out option.
